Historically 10 free Microsoft-hosted parallel jobs with unlimited minutes for open source (public) projects on Linux, macOS, and Windows. No longer available to new projects.
Eligibility: for the project; public repo required; Public projects in Azure DevOps are retired: new public projects can no longer be created, and existing public projects retain their free parallelism grants only until they convert to private in 2027.
How to apply: No longer possible; new public projects cannot be created.

Azure credits for open source projects discontinued
Grants of Azure credits for short-term development, infrastructure, and testing needs of open source projects, typically for one Microsoft fiscal year. Closed to direct applications.
Eligibility: for the project; Microsoft is not accepting new applications from projects directly; it relies on strategic relationships where Microsoft product teams identify and partner with open source communities they depend on. Long-term hosting, CI/CD, or ongoing databases are out of scope.
How to apply: Application form is closed; participation is by Microsoft invitation only.
